30 days of Thanksgiving - Commitment

We are almost half way through November and it’s approaching that time I wonder why I decided to write every day about giving thanks. I wished that I had not made this public promise so I could just let this slide. But I did. And I remember other years that I have done this and how much I benefitted from examining each day for those rays of gratitude and the morsels that brought me to feeling thankful. Amazingly enough, that it is in the writing of this post that I discovered for what I am thankful today. I am thankful for commitments made that hold me accountable to finish a task and not quit. I am thankful for the grace that God gives if for some reason I am unable to meet that commitment. I am most awed and thankful that in the freedom of that grace, the weight and frustration at keeping commitments is replaced with inspiration and desire to keep them. Thank you God for how you work to shape and bless me when I submit to you
