I am thankful for warm coats, clothes, and home as so many can not afford these necessities. Today was a national day of giving and I am thankful so many participated but it takes more than giving one day a year to make a measurable difference. Giving and thanksgiving need to be part of our DNA- it should be who we are. One recognizes how much we are dependent upon God and others, the other recognizes the resultant effect of gratitude which is giving as we have received. The more thankful we are, the greater our need to share. May we continue to grow in both.
