30 days of Thanksgiving –get ready Nov 21, 2018 'Tis the day before Thanksgiving and all through the house… Okay, I’m not waxing poetic. The yeast dough is ready to turn into rolls. The chicken’s been boiled and plucked from the bone. The ham is ready into the oven to shove – and now just the packing of sundries of stuff. These will be added with the offerings of family as we share in a Thanksgiving feast of epic proportions. Oh, the tradition of meeting together – filling our platters with reckless abandon. Only to look at the leftover pile and wonder, “what were we thinking?” as we survey the carnage. In all seriousness – this is my favorite holiday because it is about family and being grateful. And so tonight the stage is set. Tomorrow the marathon cooking and eating. I am grateful for this gift of gathering. My prayer is for safe travels for all. May tomorrow be a truly blessed !!
