My heart is heavy today as I continue to read the stories about the California fires. How devastating to know that everything you own is lost in just a few minutes as fire engulfs acres upon acres of forested lands. I think of all of those firefighters risking their lives to try and save homes, lives, and forests. How brave and selfless! I am again thankful today for sacrificial living and giving demonstrated by these dedicated firefighters who are now coming from not only all around the country, but from around the world. Lord, put a protective hand on them as they bravely work to protect lives and property.
